If you live or work downtown, join the CBCM Building Monitor Network!

We need people who live or work downtown who can check their building, walking route to work, place of business, etc. in the morning or throughout the day.

We especially need help along Wacker Drive, East Randolph, Michigan Avenue north of the river, the Loop west of Wacker and the downtown area south of Congress.

It may not sound like a big deal, but this would greatly expand our areas of coverage and help us reach many more birds in need. This could be a daily, weekend, or one day a week thing, and it doesn't have to be at the crack of dawn! We have a Hotline to coordinate with our Building Monitor Network volunteers and we would provide full training for this monitoring work.

If you work at a problem building for birds, please let us know. One of our challenges is to find out where birds are hitting. We have our regular routes, but we are trying to get more coverage and do more risk reduction with managers of problem buildings. We are having lots of success so far with our win-win approach. There are many ready solutions to this problem if we can just get the word out.

We need people for early and late morning monitoring.  If you can train and go out even one morning a month, it would be a great help.

Please e-mail us at info@birdmonitors.net or call 773 988 1867 if you might be able to help us help the birds! Thank you!
